The Mission of the Red Rock Fencing Center is to provide a safe and positive athletic environment. To help every student or member to discover their unbridled abilities within themselves by creating an Olympic level training and development atmosphere that provides a challenging, yet successful, experience in which to fulfill their dreams. The realization of this mission is enhanced by a TEAM approach - fencers, parents, staff and owners.

Parent Involvement-
In order for us to have a better focus for improvement we need parents to feel that they have a say by helping out with their children's development. We have formed a parents 'Active Parent Advisory Group' to help with new ideas for the Center and the continuing development of the Youth and Jr. Program.

Understanding the sport of fencing that your child has chosen can be easier than you think. Check out the Pacific Coast Section's website at www.pcsfencing.com and then click on Parent's Corner. There you will find a lot of information for the beginning parent.

Objectives-
The Red Rock Fencing Center has established objectives which reflect the philosophy of the Center and which have become the working tools to implement that philosophy. The Red Rock Fencing Center strives to:

1. Reinforce traditional values and emphasize the cultivation of integrity, good sportsmanship and personal discipline.
2. Give careful consideration to stages of development and styles of learning which recognize the varying abilities of each child, student and member.
3. Build self-confidence through setting and achieving realistic goals.
4. Encourage wholehearted participation in all aspects of training and competing.
5. Foster personal growth through meaningful intellectual athletic exploration and fulfillment by:
   a. Teaching basic skills as the foundation for critical thinking and footwork during a competition;
   b. Maintaining low student-teacher ratios for satisfying individual needs in classes; and
   c. Utilizing in-house and community resources to optimize learning.
