Our membership programs cover from anyone just wanting to fence for fun to Olympic level training and development. You can move from one program to another with ease as your ability improves.
Red Rock Fencing Center offers fencing classes for the beginner, intermediate, and advanced (team) fencer in all three weapons and for all ages. All classes are offered on an on going continuous basis so you can join in any class at any time. You can pay by the month, 3-month, or 1 yr and is pro-rated if you join anytime after the first of the month. We feel everyone has their own learning curve and to push one to advance before they are ready only hurts them in the long run. You may start at any level that you feel you are at, but only after passing the necessary live practical evaluation testing in order to enter into that level, due to your prior learning from another source.
The emphasis of these classes is to give you a full understanding of the weapons, its rules and how the blade is used in competition. All three blades have different tempos but the footwork is the same as are most of the motions for the parries. In foil and saber you have to contend with "the-right-of-way" before your touch will be counted as a valid touch, something epee does not. See About Fencing.
We offer flexible class times for every class level covering the adults or children who need special hours in order to take classes due to their work schedules and home schooled kids of both Youth and Jr. Levels.
